The Edge AI and Vision Alliance 2020 Vision Product of the Year Award for Best Camera or Sensor has been won by iniVation for the ground-breaking Dynamic Vision Platform.
Now in its third year, the Vision Product of the Year Awards was announced in 5 categories. The other category winners were Intel, Nvidia, Morpho, and Horizon Robotics. The winning entries were chosen by an independent panel of judges based on innovation, impact on customers and the market, and competitive differentiation.
“Congratulations to iniVation on being selected by our panel of independent judges for Best Camera or Sensor in the 2020 Vision Product of the Year awards,” said Jeff Bier, founder of the Edge AI and Vision Alliance. “Previously, neuromorphic computer vision has mainly been a research topic. It’s exciting to see iniVation bringing neuromorphic vision to bear on real-world problems in the commercial realm.”
The iniVation Dynamic Vision Platform (DVP) is a fundamentally new concept in high-performance machine vision. The bio-inspired neuromorphic technology enables vision system builders to achieve unprecedented performance in speed, latency and dynamic range. The platform combines the neuromorphic Dynamic Vision Sensor powers unprecedented pixel processing performance alongside the specifically developed DV Software which accelerates development of event-based vision applications.
