On January 1, 2018, iniVation (inivation.com) consolidated its position in the rapidly expanding intelligent vision market by formally incorporating the Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS) business and engineering teams of iniLabs GmbH.  This consolidation will facilitate growth, and reinforce R&D for end-user applications.

iniVation overcomes the limitations of conventional machine vision, by replacing frame-based cameras with radical new technology that conserves communication bandwidth and computational resources. It reports only salient data at the instant they occur, and is insensitive to ambient illumination.

Dr. Kynan Eng, the former CEO of iniLabs, becomes CEO of iniVation. The board of directors is led by Dr. Sven-Erik Jacobsen, the former CEO of iniVation, with Prof. Tobi Delbruck and Prof. Rodney Douglas as members. The company has moved to larger premises in Zurich.

All existing DVS customers and partners of iniLabs will be serviced by iniVation, including repairs and close customer support.
